Day Thirty-Six
Day 36
Rest day 6
Austin
Today was are sixth restday and first full day in Austin. We woke up early to go to a laundry mat to do around seven loads of laundry. Normally we’ve been doing laundry regularly to keep it from building up but our last trailer parks didn’t have laundry. After doing laundry for about two hours we needed to stop by and REI and a bike shop to grab some more spare tubes and warmer clothes, we finally got booties for the cold weather. We then went out to lunch and started walking around the city. We walked in the bike paths for around seven miles, it was really pretty, we say the city skyline the whole walk. We walked all the way to the capital building, apperantly it’s the biggest capital in the US, even bigger that the White House! To was super pretty and cool to see. We walked over congress bridge and say some of the millions of bats that fligh our from it at night. We then wakes back to our car and went back to our trailer park, and had dinner down the block from us. After dinner we had dad open a few presents for his birthday, it cool to celebrate it on the road it makes his birthday really memorable. Tomorrow we are back to riding and will be out of Texas and into Louisiana in no time.
