Alpine -> Marathon

Today was pretty good! We started the ride around 10 and it was already significantly warmer than yesterday. We rode threeish miles into Alpine, and then started the bigger portion of our ride. The ride after Alpine wasn’t too bad it was mainly down hill. A little bit before the half way point a massive head wind started, the wind was super cold! We had a lot of layers on though so we were able to keep warm! Luckily dad makes a really good wind break and made my life significantly easier! The rest of the ride was pretty hilly but had a general trend of going downhill. The ride was really pretty there were beautiful clouds the whole time and gorgeous mountains. We were able to explore the town of Marathon a little bit today. We went to the historic Gage hotel and a really good barbecue place for dinner. Also WAHOOO, I’m over 1,000 miles into the trip, I can’t believe we are already this far!
